ummm, so that amounts to about EVERY metal band thats released music since Slayer in the mid 80s. Care to share any bands that are completely original, that doesn't sound familiar in some way?
For the sake of playing devil's advocate: Assassins: Black Meddle, Part 1

I realize most of you absolutely detest this album, but my money is on most of you being averse, tone deaf mental ward escapees.
I still think that album is awful. Not sure what the hype is.

Most of the "original" bands are overrated. Stuff like uneXpect, Vulture Industries, etc. Now I do like these bands, but they aren't godsends and they aren't going to save music. Just give me some Deeds of Flesh and I'm happy.

There are a few really cool bands though who have a unique take on metal though -- Semen Across Lips/Parabstruse, Contrastic, and Gonin-Ish come to mind.
Because I can do nothing more than impose my opinion and hope that you'll eventually see the light, I can only hope that you'll listen to it how it was intended: while sober, while under the consumption of alcohol (because so many of the songs are among the best drinking anthems of all time), and while high as a jay bird.

In my opinion, it's the most groundbreaking album to hit metal within the past decade.

That's as far as I'm willing to go with it. Love it or hate it.

Look, I've listened to the new album a few times, it didn't do anything for me, so therefore I'm disappointed. Do I have to draw a fucking picture? I can't really explain it any more clearly.
