This is absolute HORSESHIT!

http://movies.ign.com/articles/916/916599p1.html

It's official: mainstream Hollywood entertainment is dead. Are producers REALLY that creatively bankrupt that they have to dig up the corpses of ANY brand name in lieu of original films? What's next? Silent Night, Deadly Night starring Christian Bale and Ashanti? Night of the Creeps featuring that pissant kid from the last Indiana Jones movie?

I...I just give up.

i'm less pissed off about this one honestly. i think i might be tired of being mad about the re-makes. i've wasted a lot of energy being pissed off that they ruined TCM, Halloween, The Omen, Black Christmas and Day of the Dead BUT the Dawn Of The Dead remake was great IMO and The Hills Have Eyes was passable.

It strikes me odd that they would remake NOTD though. I think its a good movie but is there really any interest in it past die hard horror fans?

Anyway, I can deal with the re-makes as long as the original is kept in mind and a director with the balls to do it right makes the movie. case in point is the Dawn Of The Dead remake. They stuck to the formula while making a movie with a new take on the film. They put all the gore, boobs, killing, zombies and comedy front and center and made a real horror movie in the 2000's that had some character.

but if they completely screw it up like Day Of The Dead we should riot!
