Alright...I know I seem like I'm bitching. It IS a good deal...but I just live an hour away from Atlanta. That's why I'm pissed. But hopefully maybe the FYE at the Kennesaw Mall will get some or something.Brian wrote:Alright, festival tickets are usually $40-$50 bucks. You're getting a ticket and a CD for $20 max. Much better deal moneywise.GameFreac wrote:No...I would rather drive to Publix 5 minutes away and buy a ticket. I never said I wanted to buy a CdBrian wrote:So..you'd rather buy a ticket than a ticket AND a CD?GameFreac wrote:Yeah I'm gonna have to drive 40 miles just to buy a cd then come home then go again the day of the show.ProstheticHead12 wrote:sucks even more for those of us not in atlantaBrian wrote:It'll probably be Criminal Records then. Sucks because they overcharge on CDs but I can't complain if it gets me into this show!Sean Newton wrote:from Sean Ingram:

This show will be awesome but it's not really free. That's kinda gay. I would rather buy a ticket at my local Ticketmaster about 5 minutes away.
It would be a good deal if it wasn't an hour drive away from me.
I've gotten confirmation that it is going to be a buy a CD thing. But, it's not going to be only one store. A lot of the local stores will be getting tickets, so there will probably be one in close driving distance for you.
Does Criminal Records have an online shop? Maybe I could order a cd online and they could just ship it to me with the ticket. I don't know...guess I'll just have to wait for the details.

Yeah, it's only gonna be in Atlanta. There are tons of people traveling here from all over (I know someone that's gonna fly down from New Jersey) so you better expect it to be packed/get there earlyMetalfreak wrote:That lineup is fucking insane! Is this only in Atlanta too? Either way, for once I'm glad I don't have to travel for a killer metal fest!

Watch when it's just an insanely cruel and well-organized early April Fool's joke

Called Criminal Records today concerning this "event." Criminal Records told me that they KNOW of this, but know NOTHING about it at this time. I was told to check www.criminal.com periodically for any new/possible information.
I also went to Flagpole Magazine (Athens) to speak with the music editor to find out if she had heard of this. She has a friend who works at the Masquerade whom she IMed and he confirmed that they also KNEW of this event (it is listed on their site with "ticket info TBA," but had NO other concrete information concerning it.
There are no confirmation posts on 1349's, Eyehategod's, Neurosis' or Mastodon's websites.
