shooting in my apt complex last night
Me and my b/f were eating dinner around 7:30 last night when we heard a bunch of people out on the parking deck yelling and screaming at each other. Then we heard a car peel out and I never heard a car go out of the garage that fast ever...I'm surprised he didn't hit any of the other cars. I go out onto my balcony (from here I can look directly into the parking deck where it happened) and I see 2 ambulances on the road right below me. I look into the balcony and there were cops everywhere! Turns out there was an armed robbery and 2 people got shot...no clue if they died or not. And we're pretty damn sure that the car that peeled out was the shooter...who else could've that been? And then the news showed up (no, I was not on the news...some have asked me that already and I wouldn't want to be either) All I got to say is goddamn!
oh yeah, I saw on the news that one of the persons shot was in stable condition so I guess that's good.
just thought I'd share with y'all!

DeKalb aka the ghetto!Knucklehead wrote:Are you in Fulton or DeKalb?
@Sara - dude yeah that's why we moved in there because it's a nice place in a decent area.
when I lived in Little 5, our cars got broken into all the time and the apts downstairs constantly got broken into but our's never did (probably cause we lived in the 2nd floor)
@Mike - if you read this...you probably know what I'm talking about since you moved into that same exact apt!
anyways, it turns out it was drug related and the people knew eachother...it wasn't random which is good because that means people aren't sneaking in to shoot random people!

I don't. But I personally worked a case where a guy was shot following a drug deal gone bad. Dude lost his life over two pounds of weed. The charges against our client were just dismissed in November, shortly before trial. And, although I didn't work it, there was a case this summer in my courtroom where another guy was shot and killed over a drug deal gone bad. That one involved one pound, I think.Death2all wrote:How do you know it was weed?Knucklehead wrote:It is amazing how many times guys die over a couple pounds of weed or whatever.Metalfreak wrote:anyways, it turns out it was drug related and the people knew each other
But this could have just as easily been over rock cocaine. Or a girl. Or whatever. All pretty fucking pointless.

Amanda, where in Dekalb do you live?
I'm totally unsurprised at news of shootings or police activity near Shallowford...that's where we (me and Tim H.) used to live (NE Expwy access road) and after our next-door neighbor was bludgeoned to death and a guy across the street was knifed to death (both drug-related), we decided it was Time To Leave. That's when I bought the house in Auburn.
I've noticed our old apartment complex has since been completely razed.
