just think if Slayer went back to their roots and headlined an actual metal show in a club. if i could put together a fantasy line-up that could(but won't) happen it would be..........

Slayer
Morbid Angel
Kreator
Toxic Holocaust

at the tabernacle, centerstage or even the roxy. i know i'm dreaming here but that is something that could actually happen and if anyone was still alive when it was all said and done it would be a tour that would be talked about for years to come.

I didn't see that on the presale, do you get to meet the bands, then?

I have 2 pit tickets coming (not into the moshing thing, just want to be close) and nobody I know is interested in going.

I was a little curious myself so I looked it up. This was on ticketmaster's wesbite:

Purchase a Mayhem VIP Ticket Package and get:
-One premium seat located in the reserved section*
-Official Mayhem VIP Laminate
-Access to the venue's VIP Lounge
-Exclusive Mayhem Skull Koozie

...maybe you'll meet the bands in the VIP lounge...
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

My bro and I had VIP tix to the Emperor Show at HOB/Hollywood a couple years ago. What that meant was standing in line for an hour after the show then getting to have 2 things signed by each of the band members who were sitting at these tables. At least we had a chance to talk to them a little bit before we were herded outside. I will say they did a fairly good job of keeping that line moving, as they didn't let us stand there chatting for long. I remember feeling kind of dirty about the whole thing, like this is just the sort of thing I'd really really hate to have to do if I was a rock star. I am pretty sure Ihsahn felt that way too, he had a really weary and disgusted look on his face even though he was trying to be friendly and nice.

I suppose the second stages well be done by the time the main bands play but if CC or Behemoth played while one of the shitty bands on the main stage played then that would be great! So, is Slayer playing last?
Well, at the last Mayhem Fest show Machine Head played at the same time as Dragonforce. That actually couldn't have worked out better! I got back to my seats after Machine Head's set just in time to hear the last half of dragonforce's last song. Just enough so I could say with authority that Machine Head knocked DF's dicks in the dirt.
Let the joyous celebrations of Hell begin!

Killswitch Engage is rumored to be on this too :(

Here's the stage breakdown:
Main Stage:

SLAYER
MARILYN MANSON
BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE

Hot Topic Stage:

CANNIBAL CORPSE
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER
JOB FOR A COWBOY
BEHEMOTH
WHITECHAPEL

Jägermeister Stage:

TRIVIUM
ALL THAT REMAINS
GOD FORBID
Obviously Behemoth and Cannibal Corspe won't be playing at the same time so that's good. I suppose the second stages well be done by the time the main bands play but if CC or Behemoth played while one of the shitty bands on the main stage played then that would be great! So, is Slayer playing last?
I'll bet Behemoth and Cannibal Corpse are probably cringing at the fact that they are on the Hot Topic stage...haha. They should be on the Jagermeister stage, it sounds far less gay. And the gayfags on that stage should play on the Hot Topic stage.....just my opinion.

Indeed. I saw Slayer in a small club in Detroit back in 1991. I don't think that it is there anymore, but the entire thing was probably the size of the bottom Tabernacle, or the size of the main stage area in Heaven at the Tabernacle. The completely kicked ass.

The best part was that this club was located right next to the Fox Theatre in Detroit. That particular night, there was some kind of Muppets show. All of these folks from the suburbs were pulling up in limos, dressed in tuxedos, to take their kids to see the Muppets, and filthy Hessians were crawling out of the night and pouring into the club next door. Priceless.

Great story. I sincerely believe that Doctor Teeth and the Electric Mayhem would approve of Slayer.
