Queensryche Nov. 12 @ Masq
Figured someone might be interested. I probably won't go because they're most likely going to be playing their new shit. Aside from their stuff up to Promised Land and OMII, can't say I give a fuck.

Caught that tour in Detroit -- it was my second Metallica show. I clearly remember Geoff Tate pissing and moaning that people were throwing beer bottles at them. I remember thinking, "WTF do you expect??!! You're opening for fucking METALLLIIIIICAAAAA!" I never did care much for Queensryche.ratanda wrote:Haha I remember that tour! Last time I saw Queensryche it was at the Tabernacle. Interesting.
Of course, that was way back when Metallica was good.

The first time I'd ever heard them was that concert. I thought Mindcrime was a great album, and a few songs on Empire were really solid. But I got so sick of Silent Lucidity that I never really followed them after that.Metalfreak wrote:me neither...I've tried to listen to their stuff and I just can't get into it at all. I'll probably pass this one. For those who go, have fun!Knucklehead wrote: I never did care much for Queensryche.

that's exactly my take on 'em as well. It'll be an 50/50 show for me.Strange wrote:The first time I'd ever heard them was that concert. I'd go if they played the s/t and Warning in their entirety but yech, American Soldier

That wasn't quite my first show, but it was a memorable one...damn near froze my cojones off outside in leather jeans waiting for tickets to come up from downstairs. Ended up missing QR, who were my bigger interest, but seeing 'Tallica and loving the show.Acidic Consumption wrote:cool..might check that out..i dig their older stuff.
