Monstrosity ruled! Those guys have a really strong live show. I had been waiting for this show all month and it definitely lived up to my expectations.
To the few that tried crowd surfing, horns up! We need to see a bit more of that craziness at smaller metal shows around the city.
That show was fucking awesome, I loved how they played a bunch of songs from Imperial Doom and Millenium, the only way this show could have been any better is if Monstrosity wouldnt have been selling their cd's for 15 bucks a piece!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the show.
Even with it being a good show, pretty good turnout, etc...this is the most money I've ever lost on a single show in my 14 1/2 years of booking shows.
I could have paid my rent for 2 months with how much money I lost!
In light of the fact that I've lost a considerable amount of money the past 5 shows in a row, the shows I do in the future will be few and far-between. Do expect more metal at The Drunken Unicorn, though!

The guarantee was too high and I probably shouldn't have agreed to it, but because I really like Monstrosity (and Thornafire, who dropped off the tour and were replaced by HOD), I did.
While 41 heads is pretty decent, and the show looked somewhat full, I really needed there to be 100 heads to be close to breaking even.
I want to continue to bring good shows to Atlanta, but I'm really discouraged as of late.

Fuck dude that sucks. I wish you could book more shows but its completely understandable why you wouldn't want to if you're losing your ass on them. I wish more people had come out. To those who didn't come out, your loss. Monstrosity was fucking awesome.deathgasmrecords wrote:Thanks to everyone who came out to the show.

41 people aint bad though. I mean, how many people even showed for Celtic Frost a few yrs ago? It was fucking stupid.
Monstrosity ruled! Probably even better than Morbid Angel a few yrs ago!
