it's alive.....
This post been dead but I was wondering what everyone considers the best cheap beer you ever had.
From gas stations:
Tecate wins. its like a 12 pack of decent beer for $11-13 that doesn't have the taste of raw meat that comes along with other beer like natty ice.
From Kroger:
Dundee's 12 pack variety case. Really good craft beers for $10. Its 4 different types of beer with 3 three bottles for each type. I know this sounds like a promotion buts I just remember being low on cash and seeing this variety pack and making it my day! Cheap and Great.

I'm a bit of a beer snob and I've tried many of the ones mentioned here but no beer has ever brought me more refreshment and enjoyment at the same time as Merlin's Ale. This masterpiece is a strong bitter from Scotland and is seasonally sold at Total Wine stores. If you ever see one, don't hesitate to pay the price for one. GET!

Best Cheap Beer = Steel Reserve or Simpler Times (High alcohol content and low price)
I'm drinking a Newcastle Summer Ale right now which is ok... nothing great. I should have just bought normal Newcastle as I like it more. The Yeti Imperial Stout is great but I can't pay that much for beer.
