Rumor -- Slayer, Megadeth, Testament, High On Fire

Post by Knucklehead » Fri November 6th, 2009, 3:51 pm

I assume some of you have already seen it, but Blabber is reporting that these bands will tour together late this winter or early next spring.

Since the Megadeth tour skipped Atlanta, I wonder if it would be coming here? I just wish that they would come to the Masquerade or Tabernacle. Slayer doesn't belong at Hi-Fi Buys or whatever it is called.

I saw the Clash Of The Titans tour with these three and it was killer back in the day! High On Fire seems an odd choice though but I like them.

It's like Clash 2, but with Testament instead of Anthrax and HOF instead of Alice in Chains.

I'd be all over this...despite the fact that Megadeth haven't done anything good since Rust in Peace.
Let the joyous celebrations of Hell begin!

Slayer, Testament, and Megadeth?!?! This would be like a childhood dream coming true. I really hope this isn't just a rumor. I will be the first person in line to buy the ticket. These were 3 favorite bands when I was really young.

The one I attended had Testament. It was in Tampa, Florida and Slayer recorded Decade Of Aggression there!

I have no idea how I missed Clash of the Titans. My friends went one year to see Monsters of Rock with Metallica and ... Van Halen. I sat that one out.

Dave Mustaine has now said there is absolutely no truth to this.

I apologize, I was kinda ripped when I read it. Not used to someone else speaking for Megadeth. It was the drummer that said, but still, just a rumor so far.

That's cool.

Slayer did another show here with Testament on that tour, but it was prior to the Clash run. Both were excellent shows.

As BLABBERMOUTH.NET first reported on November 6 (and subsequently falsely denied by MEGADETH drummer Shawn Drover), SLAYER, MEGADETH, TESTAMENT and HIGH ON FIRE will team up for a U.S. tour, dubbed "American Carnage", in January/February 2010. So far the following dates have been released:

Jan. 21 - Cow Palace - Daly City, CA
Jan. 31 - Municipal Auditorium - Nashville, TN
Feb. 04 - Roy Wilkins Auditorium at St. Paul RiverCentre - St. Paul, MN

More shows will be announced soon.
See you in Hell!
