Same here with me and the Hypocrisy and Ex-Deo. The same night as the Waste was Lacuna Coil and All That Remains at Masquarade. Anyone go to that instead?MS_39455 wrote:Maybe 500 or so at Type-O Negative. I personally think it's hit or miss when there are multiple shows in a row. The Municipal Waste, Ensiferum, Queensrhyche, Belphegor, The Cult (for a few folks), Cannibal Corpse, Spewtilator, and Marduk shows are all pretty much back to back this month . Not to mention Hypocrisy dropping off of this tour. That's mainly why I didn't make it out...forced to pick and choose for a while here.V-GER wrote:Am I pretty surprised at the metal scene here and the turnouts for these shows. I know weekday gigs aren't the greatest but ever major band and tour usually stops here. The only good show that I have seen in the last couple of months was Municipal waste and at the most that was only 200 to 250. How was the Type O show? Is this common here or is it just a recent thing? It seems some local band members show up which is good.

This show was amazing! Ensiferum played much better than they did at Paganfest. My friends and I got to the Masq at around 3 and waited there til the doors opened. The turnout was shitty, but what do you expect on a Monday night? I nearly cried when they played Little Dreamer. I couldn't really get into Lazarus AD, but they weren't bad. I have been a fan of Blackguard ever since they were still called Profugus Mortis but I never got to see them until now. Unfortunately the sound kinda sucked and you couldn't hear the keyboards or vocalist at all. Well, now I have Heathenfest to look forward to.

Ensiferum were amazing, and completely worth the 2 average openers. I know a lot of the crowd liked Blackguard in spite of the bad sound but they weren't interesting to me. Other than not playing Ahti, which was very surprising, the setlist was really good. More songs from Iron than I would have expected. And the Wanderer is my favorite song from them, so I was very pleased they played it!

That was great, I'll never forget that. Just like when Obsidian from Keep of Kalessin put his mic in front of me and I sang Crown of the Kings. Petri just said "okay" as if they were going to play something else,GameFreac wrote:You stole my thunder dude. I was just about to yell Lai Lai Hei and Petri looks at you and you say "Lai Lai Hei?"
