Agreed. We were on a pretty tight schedule, last year. What a horrible situation to be in!

Same here man, I can't wait to hear the names of the bands. This time I plan to listen to all the bands before I go so I can pick and choose with more knowledge of what I'm listening too. No more of that Cryptopsy bs.

Yeah I regret not seeing Converge, Torche, Krallice, and US Christmas because I wasn't really into them at the time. If anything even if I do miss some good bands this year, I can go back and get some albums after the show.

I missed Salome for the same reason. Last year had some tough decisions. For me the hardest choice was Rwake and High on Fire. I had seen High on Fire recently, so I went to watch Rwake in crappy, packed-out Purgatory, which meant I just heard them live... I saw jack squat.

Salome was the best band of the night for me...I'm a fanboy now.
And if my friends weren't pussies (tired and sick and ready to go home), I could of seen all of Zoroaster. I only saw 30 minutes though...I'm dying to see them headline now.

I saw them when they opened for The Sword a while ago. That shit was so fuckin heavy. The smoke machines and deafening amps were brutal.

Being from here and all, Zoroaster only plays headlining shows like 5 times a year so I'm sure you will get a chance...

Yeah I heard their stuff before but when the bass hit me in the chest really hard and the smoke machines started I knew this band would rule live.
@ Roth
I know...I almost went to the Voice of Saturn cd release party and I almost saw them at that art venue (forgot the name) but couldn't go for some reason...I just keep missing them for stupid reasons...but the next time they're playing a headlining show here, I'm there.

I'm going to try and not get so mind numbingly drunk/high this time around. Basically the only thing I remember is Gaylord being amazing Gaylord, Withered kicking the entire festival in the nuts, and drinking and singing along with Tyr.
I recall getting kicked out of Purgatory for Harvey Milk, as well as small portions of Torche, Zoroaster, Skeletonwitch and Neurosis. The rest of the day is a blur.

For all who went to the first Scion Fest, I'm just wondering if you are aware that all the bands who played outside have awesome quality bootlegs floating around. And Mastodon has the DVD of their set.
