I was a little nervous regarding which Shining we are going to get, considering there's another band of the same name also on Indie Recordings from Norway, but according to Revolver magazine, it is Sweden's Shining, so Kvarforth will soon be fucking up American stages and hotels.

Shining is no longer on the tour due to visa issues.

Lightning Swords of Death is going to replace them.

Yeah, I've got no reason to go anymore either. Behemoth isn't really what I consider, y'know, good.

I knew this was going to happen. I don't understand bands committing to tours without visa's in hand. This blows!

probably because they got offered some rad tour and go ahead and say yes because they dont want to wait until they get their visas to confirm and miss the opportunity... why they dont go get them immediately after they confirm i do not know. procrastinators i guess, supposedly its a real bitch to get work visas for the US if you're a band and i doubt its an easy or streamlined process in the first place.

they should just work out sharing gear with one of the other bands on the tour and come in as normal citizens with just their guitars and ship merch over before hand

here's a pretty good article regarding the visa process for musicians:

It's a pain in the ass to say the least.

shit is jacked. iskra had a hard time getting in a couple years ago. ended up getting approved to do a one day benefit concert and just left their gear in the states. went back to canada and then came back over a couple days later as normal citizens.

This is almost as ridiculous as replacing Samael with Divine Heresy and Glorior Belli with Rumplestiltskin Grinder. I'm out.

I've already seen both (Septic Flesh twice) so I'd only pay to go if Shining were still on

otherwise it's been there, done that with even more awful Behemoth material from the new album
