S/T, Caress of Steel, Farwell to Kings (Cygnus X-1!!!), 2112, All the World's a Stage, Hemispheres, Exit.. etc all really great.

I bought 2112 with a Turtles' gift medallion when I was 11 cuz the cover "looked evil." When I got home and put it on, I realized it was far more Bradbury than Crowley. Still, hit home for a dorky adolescent who air-drummed along w/ Peart, chopsticks swinging.

The keys are an unfortunately prominent feat of the mid- to late-period stuff. But I don't mind them on Hemispheres. When you've got songs like "Circumstances" or "La Villa Stangiato" you tend to forget what a Moog is/does or why it exists in the first place.

Rush are one of those "necessary" bands - along with Kiss. They embody extremes in ways few would have the stones to follow through with.

Funny. I bought my first Rush album with a Camelot gift certificate. Exit Stage Left strangely enough.

Turtles!

Lord, those were the good ol' days...camping out for tickets and freezing our asses off in the parking lot of the Turtles on Peachtree in Buckhead.

As for Rush, I love most of their albums and generally really like the rest. Sure, Geddy's voice is (for most) an acquired taste, but lyrically and talent-wise they were always a step above everyone else from that era.

But I guess I won't be playing them on WREKage anytime soon. :)

i have an original pressing of 2112. Rush > 90% of their contemporaries

also to knucklehead: Rust in Peace is worth checking out before the show, other than that you can just skip the rest til Endgame as i've heard its pretty good and i'm sure Megadave will play some tracks from it.
SPEWTILATOR - Badass motherfuckin' street cops with nothing to lose who don't play by the rules and are out for blood.

Personally, that CD is my all time favorite. As far as I'm concerned that is Megadeth in their prime.

Alright I'm officially heading back to Atlanta and am definitely going.

If anyone has a spare floor ticket they're willing to sell for less than Ticketmaster , let me know, otherwise I'm buying mine sometime this week. Can't wait. :D

yeah, just go to their box office during business hours. I think you can do that for any venue (be sure to look up when it's open though...that would suck to drive all that way just to find out they were closed...happened to me once at Lakewood and I was PISSED!)

After Endgame, I'm having a fuckin Megadeth renaissance... ALL of it. Especially Killing..., Peace..., and Rust! Cannot wait to see 'em.
