I Will Never Speak Badly of Bob Rock Again...

Post by Fn Dan » Sat January 22nd, 2005, 5:08 pm

I've already seen the theatrical version of Some Kind of Monster and gained a tremendous amount of newfound respect, but it appears some of the footage that didn't make the film is even better. VH1's website has some clips of bonus footage that is going to be on the dvd, that you can see here:
http://www.vh1.com/movies/dvd/58701/videos.jhtml

There is one scene where Bob suggests that Kirk should double over one of James' riffs, and James gets really pissed. An even better one is where Bob points out that Lars' drumming is out of time (which it has been since Kill 'Em All) to which Lars responds, "take all the life out of it Bob, you're really good at that." They had to pay Bob Rock a ton of money to work with them, because I don't know how any person can put up with them. And all these people that think Bob has negatively influenced the music are wrong, the film definitely proves that all that crappy music was the product of "Metallica". I've definitely got to get this dvd when it comes out.
