yeah, was definitely thinking either Morbid Angel or Immortal.
still stoked for DRI.

I've never been before. Is it pretty much like 3 days straight of Scion Rock Fest?

yeah but it's way better! More death and grind and TONS of merch. They have merch set up everywhere... Inside, outside, near the stage inside and there's 2 separate rooms full of it. There's also more than one bar and food outside.

Also there are so many cool people to meet there...I mean just in the audience. I still keep in touch with several people I have met at the last 2 I went to. People come from all over the globe for this... It's kinda like N America's version of Wacken but obviously with not as many people. 5000 is still alot though... It may be more not sure. It's fuckin awesome to see Baltimore infiltrated with so many black t shirt wearin metalheads haha it's like no matter where you go you're going to see at least one. Oh yeah, one of the dudes in Athiest was on my flight too...you'll get that if you fly. Anyways, you will fuckin love it!
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

Just booked the holiday inn express....453 feet from sonar on N. Gay st! Pretty much across the corner from the parking lot under the overpass, for 52 bucks a night thru hotwire.com. Enter in 21202 as the zip, it's the 2 and 1/2 star hotel downtown and inner harbor with four ammenities listed.
See you in Hell!

Thanks dude. I just changed my reservation. It'll be nice not driving to and from the venue this year.

I actually enjoy the drive to Baltimore, but just that five miles between my hotel last year and Sonar was rough. I think I ended up getting turned around and finding a different way back each night ($2 draft didn't help either). Glad to find a hotel within walking distance this year.

I think driving to the show is going to be even more fun than flying. Instead of a heavy metal road trip, it is going to be a heavy metal pilgrimage to the promised awesome bands land.

I'll be there too. This may be the biggest Atlanta crowd yet! I haven't booked a thing yet though. I plan on flying in Thursday to catch the pre-fest.

There was a lot of Atlanta people last year too. I always fly in, I tend to avoid road trips over 6 hours...too hard on my back on top of all the standing all day and sleepin on uncomfortable beds and shit.
See you in Hell!
