the warehouse (585 Wells St)
getting a bad rep, thanks to that youtube video of people dancing like they belong in a 8 mile movie.

this is where i spend all my time when this place is dead.

Lambgoat hates on everything even if it's good news. I bet 99% of those people are joking and "Emmure should be on this" and "no care ever" is in the comments of almost every post.
Also, if people don't think that video was a joke/fun, that's dumb. I plan on going soon...I woulda went for Cough but it got moved to Athens.

also, people need to quit flapping their gums on the internet about the "extracurricular activities" that happen there, the police have the internet too.
sorry, we like to have fun at the warehouse.
don't like it don't go.
maybe i should not have said anything. i LIKE the warehouse and i could care less about that video and what people say about the place, especially on the internet. i just found it funny that someone on LG was talking about the place at all. its getting its name out there...partly for to how open it is about its "extracurricular activities", but everything else included too.
but, yes, im sorry. i will never utter another word about the place again.

definitely wasnt pointing the finger at you slut rag, just making an observation.
i think its great that they are getting bigger but at some point its gonna create problems. luckily its in a part of town where there isnt anyone to make noise complaints or cause the cops to show up for some stupid reason but if it gets the rep of being a place where that stuff is constantly going on theres a good chance the cops will try and shut it down at some point.
cops dont like fun and 585 is big fun.
the cops showed up on new years eve because the club or whatever on the other side was promoting on the web about having an open bar without permits or something of that nature... something they shouldnt be doing. they're not reading threads on a specific board, they're going out and searching for information that would allow them to bust a spot once they've heard something they dont like about it.
really my point is that 585 is the best venue in the city, especially for underground music, and it would be a real shame to see it shut down for something dumb.

well, i do tend to talk about about how loose the place is on certain things even though i have yet to take advantage of it. but, yeah, definitely an awesome venue and i hope to see more shows there soon. glad to see im not stepping on any toes here. hopefully not, anyway.

I couldn't agree more and with that now that the cops have noticed that this place exists they won't forget about it. A place full of metal fans, punk kids, and hardcore kids for them must be like gold that no one has found and exploited yet. Just because that happened I'm going to be slighty more paranoid when I see shows down there and that wasn't even our fault. Just stupid rave kids not keeping their mouth shut. They may never come back but I still don't want to take any chances.
Just imagine the look on the cop's face if they walked in during the Cannabis Corpse show.
Also something tells me half the kids on Lambgoat have never even been to a show. "Maybe if I sit at a computer long enough and talk enough shit about other people maybe just maybe other people will think I'm the shit."
