Hell yeah! That's why I bought the tape... because of the cover. I had read the Elric series like the year before. That's also why I started listening to BOC.
Yep, that happens a lot since MM wrote three songs for BOC. I was listening to "Black Blade" and "Veteran of the Psychic Wars" on the car iPod two days ago.

I had just gotten into the Elric Saga when I attended the 1986 WorldCon, which was held in Atlanta that year. Walked around a corner in the dealers' room, saw Stormbringer staring at me from an easel at Michael Whelan's booth and HAD to have it...thus starting a buying frenzy. :)
I've now got 20-30 of Whelan's cover illustrations here, from all kinds of books. Awesome work!

I need to dig my RH CDs out and give them a re-listen. I've got 3 or so -- picked up a couple cheap when I was over in the UK -- but haven't dusted them off in awhile.

Did you ever see them live? I was front row at Center Stage in like '91 or '92 and the only thing that wasn't pre-recorded was the vocals. Whenever the guitarist in front of us accidentally touched his guitar strings we could hear *ping* *ping* and the drummer would sometimes accidentally hit one of his electronic pads and go *thump*. None of that shit was even plugged in. Hilarious.

Saw them at Lollapalozza 1993 and I thought they were o.k. They would def be better in a club. Outside didn't really suit them.
