If you feel like you want to kill yrself after a few hours of this, I'll talk you down off the ledge, hoss.
I appreciate the offer, chief. Out of frustration, I rapped the radio with my knuckle and pow! It was better. I immediately loaded another disc.

Nachtmystium -- Assassins: Black Meddle Part 1 I bought this for the Scion show, but never much listened to it. I saw them in Lansing, Michigan, and was pretty underwhelmed. Then I saw them with Marduk and grew interested, again. There sure is a whole of Pink Floyd on this record. But you guys already know that.

I'm still sort of digesting it. I thought they put on a really great show at the Marduk gig. But some of the spacy stuff on this album makes my eyes roll, because it has been done before (say, Animals, in 1977). I definitely appreciate their spirit of experimentation and some of those choruses are pretty catchy. But I'm not sure, yet, whether I'm going to spin this a lot.

What do you like about it?

I really don't listen to much black metal at all so I really like how they use other styles of music in addition to the black metal 'sound'. The group vocals is really cool too in my opinion. The album doesn't really have any 'moments' or parts that really are memorable though. However I do like to put it on and listen to it all the way through. If they put out a second part I'll definitely be checking it out.

Floyd has always sounded very fucking satanic to me.

It's an homage to/worship for PF... hence the album title being Assassins: Black Meddle Part 1
SPEWTILATOR - Badass motherfuckin' street cops with nothing to lose who don't play by the rules and are out for blood.

Oh, I well understand all that. The references, starting with the title, seem just a bit ham-fisted to me.

For some reason, I just can't "Mr. Roboto" out of my head, when thinking about the last passages on the first track.

"En Vind av Sorg" on the mighty Panzerfaust, by Darkthrone.

Really, is there any other song to listen to when it is snowing?

I didn't think so.
