reminds me of what i read in terrorizer last week. "A handful of church burnings? Please...we have real criminals here in the States. With guns. To us, arson is for angst-ridden fatties who cut themselves."

Every time there's a church burning, anywhere, I assume it's the corpsepainted kids from the short bus. I remember the one from here in Georgia a few years ago, when the doofus actually spraypainted "Svart alvor" and the birth and death years of Euronymous somewhere in the church. After I saw that news report I went scrambling for my copy of Lords of Chaos, where I learned that "svart alvor," which was a headline in a Norwegian paper after the first big fire, means "blackly serious."

There's a new article about the Texas things, but it has very little content.

Haha wow. I think I remember hearing about a bunch of black metal related church burnings in Alabama a few years back? I seem to remember seeing a short news clip on it...

Investigators also say 19-year-old Jason Bourque left graffiti in the bathroom stall of a ranch store. The Dallas Morning News reports today that court documents say Bourque carved an upside-down cross topped by flames into the bathroom wall, along with the words “Little Hope was Arson.”

Little Hope Baptist Church was the first of 11 churches that were torched in what authorities believe was an arson spree.

Bourque and 21-year-old Daniel George McAllister were arrested and charged Sunday with a single felony arson charge.

Attorneys are not commenting publicly because of a gag order.

Little Hope Was Arson? Clearly this is an anagram for "A Seashell Twit Porno." Case closed.

edit: Somehow I managed to read that article without noticing that Little Hope was the name of the church -- even though it was the very next line. Stay in school, kids!
