Yeah, down was there & weedeater I actually couldnt take anything else after the melvins i left, not for any other reson than my mind was blown it was just like too much information...I saw them play in a tiny club in sacramento california about seven years ago with adam jones from tool, hardly anyone was there and it really wasnt that memorable but that show at centerstage is the kind that sticks with you forever.

listening too
them crooked vultures & fleet foxes!!!

JESSE STUBER wrote:that new priestess album is pretty slick i been into that off and on for a while but im really gettin into tom waits again anything waits is on heavy rotation!!!!!!!

also immortal shook me up sons of northern darkness or something like hadnt listened to metal in a while and really got into it, but i think i played that record like three times over at work a couple of weeks ago.

I hated the new priestess for a while! It kinda pissed me off that its more metal/sludge type of sound b/c I was really hoping that it was going to be a rock'n'roll extravaganza. I kept listening to it though and it has really grown on me lately.

I've been trying to find a band that sounds similar to them? Any recs?

I'm listening to:

Ireprss - Samus Octology
Caspian - The Four Trees

Heard they're gonna tour the US with God is an Astronaut later on in the year so I figured I'd check em out. I hope that tour comes here.

Yeah the new priestess isnt what you expect but its better than expected i think. Its fast from the beginning to end deffinitley more metal, it grew on me. I heard there coming to atlanta soon?

you heard red fang? you probably love that band

fleet foxes are awesome they got a real feel for what theyre doin, I think they dont sound like to many other bands right now but a lot of people wish they sounded like them! Its so minimal at times but stills sounds rich/not boring. not like some cheesy 60's revival rock. I would deffinitley go see them ill check those dates.

I havent listened to shit since that party, still hungover.

yeah, High On Fire and Priestess are coming to the Masquerade on April 14th. Should be an awesome show.

I haven't checked out Red Fang at all but I'll do that for sure.

I hated missing the party the other night but we were having a birthday party for my little girl and people were at my house until 10:45. I figured I would've missed the music by the time I would've gotten there.

MAN! Haven't heard that name in forever! Played a show with them once WAY back in the day with DRI headlining. Great group of guys. Real shame to hear what happened to the bass player.

It is a shame. Acid Bath made some fucking insane music. One of the only bands that I can safely say scares the piss out of me. Great band.
