I really wanted to make it to this one, but it isn't going to happen.

Anyway, I hear that anyone can do Kat's vocals.

Me and the wife will be there. I gotta wait for her to get home from work, so we will probably not get there until after 10:00.

Sorry for the essay:

First time there...I thought I was gonna get lost but I saw someone carrying a guitar case across the street so I just we just went where he went.

There was like 30-40 people maybe I'm guessing but it seemed pretty cool. I thought it was free since nobody asked for money but at around 9:15 they did. Haha.

Of Legends was meh...some cool riffs but that's about it.

Doomed Youth was surprisingly really good. They sound better live than on the demo. One of the guitarists looks exactly like this dude I know it's weird. I had to make sure it wasn't him but he's not into punk or thrash.

Sons of Tonatiuh were pretty good but I couldn't hear the singer at all the entire time. They had some cool riffs in some of their songs.

Dark Castle ruled. They were having sound problems but they got fixed.

Nyarlathotep (had no clue what he looked like) kept staring at me and I thought he was mad cuz I looked like an emo kid sitting down against the wall but he came over and talked to me and asked if I was from the board and we talked for a little while.

After Dark Castle played, a few people left so there was only like 15-20ish people at the end but the drummer of Salome thanked us for staying and told us to get serious and put our frowny faces on but was just generally joking the entire time. I'm pretty sure they played both songs off the new split w/ Thou and 1 new song (the one they played at Scion Rock Fest...could be mistaken) then Black Tides. Black Tides made it worth it alone. It's my favorite song and that's all I wanted to hear. The riffs are so good live. Everyone was into it.

I got a Dark Castle shirt and talked to the drummer for a little bit and he gave me and my friend a free signed poster. I gave Kat a $5 tip since it's all I had left because I already have a Salome shirt and they were out of CD's. She thanked me and we left.

Great show...I'll definitely be back.

I was squinting at you trying to shrink you down to the size of your avatar.

Stevie and Rob from Dark Castle are the nicest people in the world. I love those guys.
