Hey guys! I recently became an Examiner on examiner.com which is this news/blog/article/online magazine sorta thing and I am lucky enough to have gotten the job of Atlanta Metal Examiner, which I had to suggest the topic because they didn't even have it!
Anyways, I'm going to post the link to my page. You guys should read the shit that'll be on there! Once I get my first article approved the page should become public...I don't know if it's showing up yet!

Agh, yeah. I don't like that they had to edit it, but since I'm done with the "training" they won't have to do all that.
I am going to be so upset if I let out an "lol" in an article...Haha.

Not to be a dick, but does the word really need to get out on 585? I'm not trying to be an elitist "keep it secret" type, but I do wonder if it is in the best interest of 585 - legally - for it to be available to people who don't already know where to dig in the underground. Just a thought...

hahaha good point! I haven't been there but from what I've read on here it seems like it's a free-for-all do-whatever-the-hell-you-want venue. I don't think they want cops prying in their business because of that

it's a double edged sword... the bigger it gets the bigger the chance that something will happen to cause it to be shut down. the way it works now is the price on every show is a suggested donation... hence them always being cool with taking a little less if you can't afford the full cost and still want to come out (never let money be the reason you don't come out to a show there) BUT... being that every show there is essentially a "private party" they reserve the right to deny anyone entrance for any reason. this formality allows them to have shows and get money for the bands without dealing with the problems of being an actual business.
