Ozzfest

Post by theRothstanator » Fri April 30th, 2010, 11:30 pm

I just decided to post a thread about this even though it might be unhip because I was super surprised that Saviours is going to be playing. Skeletonwitch will be too, though I am not super surprised about that or anything. I think there is only a handful of dates as of now?
Other than that, for now the line up is what might be expected:
Ozzy
Motley Crue
Halford
Devildriver
nonpoint
Zakk Wylde/BLS
Drowning Pool
Kingodm of Sorrow (wow, super ugly dudes)

(rotating positions)
Skeletonwitch
Saviours
Goatwhore
Katakylsm
PS I'm drunk so that's probably why I think it's okay to post this now

Lol it's ok to post it

at least these bands aren't uber gay like the past few ozzfests have been! I may actually consider going if the time and price are right. I've seen most of these bands already so it wouldn't be a huge loss if I didn't go.

I have not seen Motley Crue. It might be worth it for that lol
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

i'd go to see Ozzy, Motley Crue, Saviours, and Skeletonwitch but i'm sure tickets will be way too expensive to warrant sitting through all the other garbage on the bill.

So since it's listing Halford does that mean no Priest jams?

I was wondering that too. Hmmm

Halford will be singing Halford, Fight and Priest tunes. Remember seeing Fight back in the day at some outdoor Metallica festival with Candlebox and some other shit. I think its a great lineup myself but only 6 dates, that blows.

I'd rather have my brains scooped out with a melon baller than see Motley Crue, just saying.

too fast for love is a killer album... other than that theres a couple songs on each album from shout at the devil to dr. feelgood that'd be worth seeing. mostly i'd just want to get shitfaced and snort unholy amounts of coke while watching them

I listened to Shout at the Devil a ton, back in the day. And then I discovered Ride the Lightning.

Heresy!

The first two Crue records are classic! And exist on an astral plane far different from Ride the Lightning, which requires a 20-sided die and sleeveless tee 4 entry.

I may go to this shit!

No argument there, Chief. I just haven't listened to either in 20 years.

Is it too early to begin calling them "Showhore"? Is that unkind?

Since you were all waiting with bated breath, I thought I'd let you know that there is a 0.01% chance I'll go to this .

Eh. Fair enough. I had second thoughts as I was typing it.
