I'd almost bet money this will not come to Atlanta.Brian wrote:if this comes to Atlanta I'll go. would love to see the Crue, Halford, and Saviours.
I'd go if it did...but I don't think it will.
The Ozzfest where the crowd set pretty much the entire lawn on fire kinda killed that for us.
Let the joyous celebrations of Hell begin!

I remember going to West Palm beach one year and it rained a little bit and the sod people came out. People on the hill of the amphitheater were throwing sod at the people under the covered roof, completely insane and this was during Marilyn Manson. What a great time!Strange wrote:I'd almost bet money this will not come to Atlanta.Brian wrote:if this comes to Atlanta I'll go. would love to see the Crue, Halford, and Saviours.

SPEWTILATOR - Badass motherfuckin' street cops with nothing to lose who don't play by the rules and are out for blood.

Sounds rad. Similar exp w/ Lollapalooza when Ministry played, Psalm 69 era, and there were a bunch of fucking bonfires going in the crowd.V-GER wrote:I remember going to West Palm beach one year and it rained a little bit and the sod people came out. hahaha I remember that. That was Ozzfest 2000 when Pantera played...dunno if they did that at other Ozzfests but I just remember people making huge bonfires out of the trash (which was mostly plastic bottles). Yeah the security had to work extra hard that dayStrange wrote:I'd almost bet money this will not come to Atlanta.Brian wrote:if this comes to Atlanta I'll go. would love to see the Crue, Halford, and Saviours.

I'd go if it came back. Lakewood has had similar shows since then anyways...even alot of the same bands. I wouldn't travel for this though.

I was totally there. I think it was the only year Pantera played. I was like 17, it ruled.Metalfreak wrote:

The band was great that day. Phil, however, was asleep.Metalfreak wrote: yeah it was pretty awesome! I'm glad I got to see Pantera once.

Ozzy was pretty funny though. Right around the end of the set he's out there saying shit like "The crazier you go, the longer we'll play."
Next thing you know it looks like a goddamn prison riot on the lawn. 2 songs later Ozzy's like "Okay...please don't start any more fires!"
