Epic.
indeed.
At my register, people's totals come up to $13.49 and $6.66 all the time. I see $13.49 at least once a shift lol
Me too!
And $11.84 (Windir). I always smile and the old ladies just look at me like I'm weird.
@ Heathen
Sweet...didn't notice since I just got my first Arkona album a few months ago. I'll go back and watch that episode and listen for it.

Metalfreak: "That'll be 13.49. Did you know that that was the year that the black plague came to Norway?"
Customer: (*stares blankly and hands over $20.00*)
hahaha! I'm totally gonna say that next time.

Guy complimented me on my kylesa shirt at borders today. I think borders counts as pretty un-metal.

I rang someone up and it came up to $5.85 and I said "Wells St." and smiled.
The old lady just gave me a weird look as usual.

HAHAHA!! I used to work at Borders. It is the very definition of un-metal.

I should have posted this ages ago:
WHAT: a paper flyer for the Unholy Alliance tour in ... 2006? That was Slayer/Lamb of God/Mastodon/COB/Thine Eyes Bleed.
WHERE: scotch-taped to the side of the bookcase in my office. Because I am oh-so-very-white and the vast bulk of my clients are not, I did tape it to the side of the bookcase that they can't see.
I happened to see it just now, as I am at the office. On a beautiful Saturday.

No video because it just happened about ten minutes ago, but on MSNBC Rachel Maddow (liberal commentator) did a very (very) brief segment about Florida death metal, in honor of Tampa's being chosen for the next Republican National Convention. She mentioned the usual suspects: Cannibal Corpse, Death, Obituary, and Deicide. And hearing her point out the video for "Homage for Satan," which was playing in the background, almost made me spit out my drink.
In all seriousness I've heard her mention her love of metal before, but I think at the time she was talking about thrash.

At the Anime Weekend Atlanta (anime convention), I was spending two day at that place (saturday & sunday), wearing an Archgoat on the first day and a Morbosidad on the second. So far, the only person I have seen in a metal shirt than myself is one dude in a Burzum shirt. (No, Dragonforce doesnt count if you ask)

so last night I was at a bar with some friends. I had on a Slayer shirt...I eventually started talking with some dude who apparently likes metal. He was trying to one-up me on whatever band it was and most of the shit he liked was metalcore or more of the mainstream metal. He never heard of Bolt Thrower so umm, that's pretty un-metal right there
yeah so that's my story. I know it's lame but whatever

They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

Hahaha! That's pretty funny. I see your Winds of Plague and raise you an Ondskapt (meanwhile his head explodes).

Went to Publix for a little shopping and was wearing a Cannibal Corpse shirt. In the pasta aisle I got tapped on the shoulder and this attractive young woman said that CC was her favorite band and went on for about ten minutes. Pretty cool for a store full of old people...................
