Slayer on Kimmel - updated with video

Post by DeathfareDevil » Thu May 20th, 2010, 9:20 pm

Actually it'll be closer to one a.m., since that's when the musical guests get on. Check in no later than quarter till one, I'd say. I doubt they'll play anything from the old days, but I can always dream.

They played "Hate Worldwide." Wasn't bad at all, actually. Araya looked kind of bored.

Then over the credits they played "World Painted Blood." I like this performance a lot more.

Shit, I keep forgetting Tom Araya's back is all kinds of fucked up. He wasn't bored, he was under doctor's orders, haha.

And please let them play the Tabernacle, instead of the Lakewood.

Kerry King recently said that he'd like to bring the "big 4" package over to the states, but that would definitely not be at the Tabernacle or Lakewood...and who knows if it'll actually happen.

Honestly, I half expect that to be the next tour that brings them through.

Don't understand. Think how much Megadeth, Testament, and Exodus made from playing Tabernacle. Place was pretty much capacity. Slayer could do two nights there. I would go to both!

although that would be pretty fuckin cool! Or any other smaller venue.

I'm glad to see that Araya isn't letting his back do him in for good. Hopefully they'll be coming back soon enough! 2 nights at the Tabernacle would be awesome...they should do it.
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

heh yeah, I remember reading about Metallica playing a secret small show a year or two back...maybe right before they played Bonnaroo? either way it'd be crazy to see them in a 1000-capacity club now.

Slayer could play 365 days a year at the Tabernacle and I'd still go to each and every show.
