Yeah, that Colin is a persistent one, alright.
Did he tell you if the show is indeed postponed? I heard that from a dude in one of the opening bands the other night.
I just looked at their MySpace blog and, sure enough, it says that the ATL and a few other shows are being bumped to the end of July. Ghey!

No, he was too busy begging me to move to England. He did not mention this.badcarburetor wrote:Yeah, that Colin is a persistent one, alright.

Actually I'm kind of relieved because I worked like 75 hours last week and today is my only day off. It was gonna be a rough one. Thanks for the info, especially since the Masquerade still thinks they're coming.
I'm relieved too. As much as I'd like to see the show I'm MDF'd out and probably will be the rest of the week.Diana wrote: Actually I'm kind of relieved because I worked like 75 hours last week and today is my only day off. Parking at Kroger? I've heard so many stories about friends' cars being broken into there over the years. I always park on the side street of Masquerade or cough up the fiver for the real lot and park right at the front by the parking dude.
Oddly, last time I was there, for AF, I think, there was no dude collecting money. Strange...

I believe he is! my mom got mugged behind it once about 13-14 years ago. I have made a point to never walk behind it alone after dark...fuck that!lsaldana wrote:you talking about the murder kroger?badcarburetor wrote:Parking at Kroger? It's also known as the crack kroger lol
The only time I park at that Kroger (besides actually going into the Kroger) is if I'm going to a show at the DU and the lot is full. I always park closer to the street near Green's when that happens. Haven't had a problem yet. It's pretty lit over there and there's alot of traffic especially cause of the liquor store so I think my car would be harder to break into. I've heard plenty of stories about people getting their shit broken into on the side street next to the Masquerade though. I park on that street all the time and I always just hope nothing gets stolen!
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

As I was walking to my car tonight, the same bum that talked to me at the Municipal Waste show in November came up to me and said almost the exact same thing he said to me the other time. He asked for money but I told him all I had was a debit card and gave him the rest of my cigarette.

"'She' is...." But, yes, I'm am talking about Murder Kroger. In close to 20 years of living on/near Ponce, I've never heard it called anything but Murder Kroger, but I'm sure that it could be a lovely place for smoking rock, if one is so inclined. Oddly, I now live behind the location of the much scarier old Kroger down south on Moreland, near the Drive-In.Metalfreak wrote:I believe he is! my mom got mugged behind it once about 13-14 years ago. Anyway, the trick to parking on the side street is that you park on the half closest to Masquerade and never, ever leave anything of value in sight in your car. Hell, when I bought my new Mustang, I actually left the factory stereo in because it was going to be expensive as hell to change out the XM receiver to one with a removable face. All becuase of how regularly I park at dodgy spots like Masquerade, the DU, etc...
Look on the blog section of the GBH website and you'll find where the announcement is that the tour start has been delyaed until, if I remember correctly, July 10th.
