Woods of Ypres

Post by The_Heathen » Wed June 2nd, 2010, 2:47 pm

Woods of Ypres is looking to play somewhere in Atlanta on July 11, but nothing is confirmed yet. How many people would be interested in this?

I like the 1st album so as long as they played anything from that, I'd go. As for the other albums, not a fan.

Its official! They're playing in GA! Never heard of the venue though

Monday July 12th - Stockbridge (A suburb of Atlanta), GA

Come out and support this very underrated band!

I think it's new...just looked it up.

Check out their first album, Against the Seasons: Cold Winter Songs from the Dead Summer Heat ...it's black metal but their newer stuff is black/doom and the newest stuff is just weird IMO...not a fan.

Don't discourage people from checking them out, Gamefreac! Personally, I adore this band (obviously), Woods II and III are a mix of doom and melodic black metal with very personal lyrics, and Woods I is just black metal. I don't care for the newest one, which I have dubbed Type O Ypres. But I'm still going to support them. They have no label backing them, and they're doing everything on their own.

I just told him to check out the first album...lol.

I'm not a fan of their new stuff personally but other people may like it. Sorry.

EDIT:

The singer just told me on their forum that they'll be playing songs from their first album so I should be there.

Bump!

This show is tomorrow, if anyone cares. WOY will be supported by a pretty good local band, Incarceri 9.
