So apparently there is a metal fest/carnival going on at 585 Septermber 24-26. If you come across the website/myspace for this DONT BUY TICKETS. The doing it is nuts and just started booking it without getting in touch with us. Im going to work on getting Phobia and Total Fucking Destruction to still play a show here one of those dates but it will be normal show where you pay at the door.

Apparently this Forward to the Apocalypse Fest is at the Eyedrum now. Thou is Friday and Phobia and Total Fucking Destruction is Saturday, since those were the bands mentioned.

Hmmm I really don't know where to begin with this. I should maybe let it slide but I take offense on many accounts.

(a.) I approached Chris on 3 occasions a week prior to the Rat Babies/Damnesia/In Ruins show in January. The day of that Rat Babies show. And at the Clairmont for The Despised last show about Forward To The Apocalypse 2010 at each occasion. Chis wasn't prepared to discuss it.

(b.) At some point between that Despised show and my posting a note on the front door of 585 May 9th the carnival and circus were added to the bill. Now since the last time the carnival was at 585 there was a last minute issue with certain acts because they used fire as a prop during their performance. So at the last minute about a dozen or so people whom could have been earning their living performing elsewhere wasted their time and gas to drive up to 7 hours to Atlanta for nothing. Even though what their acts contained was fully spelled out two weeks before the show in person and in a follow-up e-mail to Chris. Yet nothing was said opposing it until the acts arrived.

So once we had the carnival and circus aboard for the fest there was no way we would book that until we sat down with you guys and discussed exactly what we could and could not do with so nobody wasted their time again. Ironically during the Mass Grave show a stray fire was caused by a cigarette and Chris was worried about professionally trained people.

(c) An e-mail sent to every band that was confirmed as of 4/17/10:
"(Also note: venue for this has yet to be determined there are several factors to be considered 1. is the circus acts that will be performing. We originally wished this to be at PS Warehouse but the last time we had the circus out there they could/would not be liable for half the acts that showed up. So it was a wasted drive for a lot of people. 2. a new venue (The Whorgasm) is being renovated down by the old 513 on Edgewood if they are completed by August the Fest will be there as it's being restored to accommodate such events. 3. We're still talking with other venue possibilities and it basically will come down to who can accommodate us the best over a 3 day period. Be an environment where people coming can enjoy themselves without being gouged in the pocket. Ring Master Mux (Carnivale Of Blackhearts) should be giving me a list of expected carnival acts within the next few weeks from there we can move forward with a more specific idea of venue."

I sent that out because bands were listing the venue as either PS Warehouse or Lenny's since the last one was there (Lenny's). And I wanted to avoid confusion. Neither the Social Conspiracy Records nor Forward To The Apocalypse Fest sites either on their webpage or in any contact with any of the bands made a definite statement that this was at 585 ever.

3. You're telling people not to buy tickets even though you think the show at the time of your original post was 585. Wouldn't that be like shooting yourself in the foot. Don't buy tickets to an event being held at 585 when part of the money would have been going to keep 585 running. What are you a joke? Or just that trivial?

4. Then you go on to laughingly state you're going to get total fucking destruction and Phobia to play at the warehouse one of those dates. Well maybe you should talk to their booking agent about that first. Oh he's the same guy booking the fest. You can take your foot out your mouth now. That's just a complete lack of professionalism dude from one promoter to another. And fucking disrespectful. What if Hellbastard asked to play the fest and I said HELL YEAH then they played 585 4 days later? How would you feel? Yeah I thought so.

(b) you not only disrespect me but you disrespect the bands playing the fest with half cocked stunt like.

(c) you disrespect the people who are coming to the fest. like it's all you about you. the scene is bigger than that buddy and if you weren't so self-possessed and trivial you'd see that.

But anyway enough of your drama-rama-ding-dong. This is what the heads wanna know.
