Japanese rock/metal band X JAPAN has reunited and looking to tour around Lollapalooza. Any thoughts?

I think they suck hard, but keep in mind that GA Tech is right down the street...the anime nuts will eat this one up.

Well, anyone who is a fan of acoustic guitar or J-/rock should be at Masquerade for Miyavi on July1. He is amazing and a phenom of the Visual kei/anime movement. 2 1/2 hour set.

X-Japan touring? Woah. I don't know them that well (although they have a 30-min. song that's pretty ace), but their fans are DEDICATED. And for the most part, hungry for U.S. shows.

If it's a relatively limited tour, that should do well.

Any word on this? And how would Lollapalloza relate to an obscure Aussie band?

X Japan has reunited and is going to play at Lollapalooza this year and is looking for dates to surround that performance. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X_Japan

No news yet on an Atlanta date.

That is utterly bizarre. That's a fairly obsure band, especially when put in the context of of the fratbro types that I assume populate Lollapalooza in the 2000s.

I hope they play Masquerade or any other venue besides something as lame as Lollapalooza.

Lollapalooza used to be kick-ass. Saw some great bands back in the day which included: 1992, 1993 and 1996! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Lo ... ps_by_year

On topic here is another anime inspired Japanese band with quite a reputation. Is this the next wave of music?

There needs to be more shit going on in that video. Maybe more lightning and bats.

Seriously, it will be a sad day on Earth when a concept is too outlandish for the Japanese. Bless their little hearts.
