Agreed. Death Angel ripped through their set. New album out on September 14. They played a new song and it sounded really good.
I kinda liked Brazen Angel.
I was chatting with Amanda last night and I think that this may very well be the first show that I've been to in a long time where neither Ryan nor Tommy nor Gene were present.
Just sayin'.

yeah, first show in awhile where none of them were present!
It was good talking with you and Todd. I didn't know anyone else there. I think alot of the people who showed up were there more for the openers...I think they come from the prog/ power scene (which is cool because most stuck around for Death Angel!).
I walked out with a set list and 2 broken drumsticks.
edit: the turnout was weak...the rest of y'all need to show up when they come through next! I know Zoroaster played but that was earlier on in the night (no excuse!) and hopefully there isn't a good movie showing on the same night lol (I would have went to that but Death Angel is awesome live)
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

What time did Death Angel go on? I was busy and wasn't sure if I would make it in time.

Around 10:40 or 10:45. And was brazen angel the Korn ripoff ? Or was that force of habit? Really wished I had gotten there later so I didn't have to watch them. And I had to leave right when Death Angel got off the stage to meet my curfew (12:30 haha I know it sucks), what songs did they play for the encore? Hopefully not the intro or I'll be mad

I didn't know that people still jumped up and down while playing guitar. I thought that was passé by 1999... Were those lyrics really "drink some whiskey, eat some pussy?"
Brazen Angel was that straight up power metal band that had the song "Metal for Eternity". They aren't fucking around when they claim that their choruses are catchy.

Heh, I fell into some free beer before, during, and after the Zoroaster show at Criminal and never made it over.

On the contrary the record of every Atlanta show I've been to is still plagued by Tommy's presence. Good thing I went to criminal that night.
edit: every atlanta metal show.
