Revisited Fulci's THE CITY OF THE DEAD. Wasn't this called THE GATES OF HELL way back when? Killer stuff, and worth the rental for the DRILL scene alone.

Strange, I need you to go see Machete and report back. Thanks, buddy.

Also it appears that Saw VII is in 3-D. Is anyone still watching those?

Wait. This isn't out yet is it? If, so I'll cover the team on this one.

Fangoria says September 3. I really hope it's good and makes Trejo a shitload of money.

Don Johnson and Steven Seagal in the same movie. Can you believe it? It's the End Times.

I'll see your end times and raise you The Expendables:

Sylvester Stallone
Jason Statham
Jet Li
Dolph Lundgren
Eric Roberts
Randy Couture
Steve Austin
Mickey Rourke
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Bruce Willis

How Officer Seagal failed to be cast in this movie is a question for the ages...

I hope Statham and Jet Li have their shirts off. I'm gonna cross my fingers and wish real hard.

I never watched that show, but I did see a few commercials for it. So what was the deal? Was he deputized or something? Was/is he a real cop or was he just tagging along?

That's the beauty of it -- they never said. They kept alluding to his 20 or 25 "years of service to the department" without ever actually saying what he did or what his qualifications are. Occasionally they would show him teaching some martial arts, so maybe that's what he did. Eventually someone saw the marketing potential and started sending him out on busts, but he never really did anything important or dangerous. Or fast.

So to answer your question: I have no idea. Maybe he held a gun to someone's head to get a badge - like how Elvis got his karate belts.
