Or you are black or Hispanic. I can't tell you how many cases I have had where the initial stop was for a fucking tag light violation and then shit goes to hell.Metalfreak wrote:I agree with everyone on the cops: they have better shit to do than to be harassing you for a tail light out (unless it's reallllly slow for some reason lol)

Thanks doubledogpaleale
Metalfreak, I would like people who put being a Christain band first. I want to be on the same page with everyone belief wise. But if i cant find all Christain members i would also play with non-Christain members as long as they respect my beliefs and as long as they are cool with not having anything anti-Christain or not having cussing in the lyrics and things like that.
Ill keep an eye out for blaze here as well.
Thanks!

I dunno about Hispanics, but the vast majority of City of Atlanta, Fulton and DeKalb cops I see are black. Hard to imagine they are really out to shake down down their fellow brothers.Knucklehead wrote:Or you are black or Hispanic. Shit, I don't want to hear that. I just bought a house here two years ago. I like our neighborhood and haven't heard of any crime waves, just a couple break-ins here and there.Metalfreak wrote:
About Tucker: my b/f is a cop in that area, that place is going in the shitter. There are some nicer areas but yeah, I don't really recommend it.
Good luck again and hopefully we'll see you at some shows soon \m/

I don't know about shaking them down, but I've seen a lot of chickenshit stops.badcarburetor wrote:I dunno about Hispanics, but the vast majority of City of Atlanta, Fulton and DeKalb cops I see are black. If you are looking for Christian Metal type stuff. The 7 Venue in Douglasville,GA is christian venue that hold a lot of bigger christian metal bands like the chariot and norma jean.
They also have alot of local christian metal shows there. just go to their myspace and check out the locals and see if they need a member or send some messages about starting a new band.
There really isnt a christian metal scene in atlanta but in douglasville and fayetteville/Peachtree city there is a huge scene for that type of shit. I would know cause I use to live in both places and it was like a plague. lol no offense by any means.
Bands like Night After Dark, Deus Invictus are a few of the bigger local christian bands

What I meant by "shaking down" is that they bring in revenue through that bullshit. Believe me, I'm not defending DeKalb or any other cops and I know that their are many societal factors that go into who is and isn't arrested. That site is pretty amusing, though.Knucklehead wrote:I don't know about shaking them down, but I've seen a lot of chickenshit stops.badcarburetor wrote:I dunno about Hispanics, but the vast majority of City of Atlanta, Fulton and DeKalb cops I see are black. Ah. My cases aren't so much about revenue, though. The tag light is out or the brake light is out, so they stop the car. They say they smell weed and search, only to find a gun under my guy's seat and he's a convicted felon. Or they find crack, or whatever. And then my guy sits in jail for six or nine months, because he is poor or has an immigration hold.badcarburetor wrote:What I meant by "shaking down" is that they bring in revenue through that bullshit.
But this thread isn't really about all that.
Remind me to give you a dollar next time I see you. That's how I get you on retainer, right? Like on the TV?Knucklehead wrote:Ah. My cases aren't so much about revenue, though. Diana, I've told you before a million times -- if you're going to be driving around with your piece and an 8-ball, make sure that you're wearing your seatbelt and that your accessory lights all work. And, for the love of god, make sure that your license plate holder doesn't obscure the county designation or tag sticker!Diana wrote:Remind me to give you a dollar next time I see you.
