Floyd, I don't have a problem with you at all, and I think it's cool that you're doing this stuff but a lot of times you come off as a crybaby on this board. It's one thing to promote your shows/fest but it's a whole other thing to constantly degrade the very people you want to buy your tickets. You know why other fests are successful? Because they're able to take criticism into account and possibly make changes. Not because they whine when people make suggestions. Again, I stress that I don't have a personal problem with you, not even a little bit, but I really do think that you should reconsider your approach to all this.

I didn't even know friday was supposed to be some gauntlet voting event and I don't think anyone did except YOU. I wasn't playing it because I want a spot on your doomed festival, I was playing it because I wanted to play this (at the time) promising cookout/show/event. where was the cookout? where was all this other shit? you promised a big event and all there was was a shitty show at shitty lenny's that fucking nobody came to because you don't promote shit. You just want to book the spot and let the bands do all the promotion work for you and then blame the bands when no one shows up? Were the bands supposed to bring the coal and hotdogs too? This shit wasn't even on the Lenny's page! You can't run a show for shit, You are constantly an asshole on this board, You are a fraud and a shitty booker/promoter, and the only things you ever have to say after your shows is that its everyone else's fault but YOURS that they fail. Get a fucking clue already because your embarassing track record of failure has become synonymous with your name. I've been trying and even was trying Friday night to give you the benefit of the doubt, but now i can't wait to see you and your "fest" fail.

p.s. regarding living decay, underage members =/= underage fan base. wise up.

Brian I do and take constructive criticism very well. I think over all I've listened to people on the board quite patiently with comments or suggestions that were truly concerned with improving the fest.

However there is a very small but vocal group whom have been from the very onset of the announcement on Atlanta Metal been very derogatory towards the fest and slanderous towards myself all from the cowardice of the internet. Yet when confronted in public they scamper off. Or don't have anything to say.

And usually I have to exhaust a few minutes each day with some trifling BS posted by one of them. Needless to say that at times does become a little frustrating Brian but going into a full detailed rebuttal I do not consider derogatory nor whining. If you feel that way well I can't change your perceptions and any attempt to do so will be perceived as further whining as you've made at least three other similar comments.

Thank you for your comments I will take them under advisement and I will take them more to heart when I see a post you make calling out those who negatively slag the fest for no reason whatsoever. And I'm not the only one whom has taken noticed.

Please take that up with whomever handles your band's booking correspondence as every local band was again made aware of this. I would say that's a communication breakdown within your band.

Hmmm a 4 part question. Here goes.
A. We promoted that contests and auditions were going to be held.
1. A skate competition and a couple of skaters did show up about 2:30 my apologies to them if they thought it was a day event. I take naps at 2:30.
2. A tagging competition sorry Matt no taggers showed up, Can't very well have a contest if there are no competitors.
3. Auditions for SOS two lovely ladies showed up and I talked with them while your band was warming up they agreed to go on after you guys. They simply flaked out at the last minute for whatever reason. Those are things a promoter cannot control.
B. The cookout: That was clearly a Lenny's part of the deal that somewhere between our booking in June and them getting a new promoter in August and an Indy Rock show getting booked for the same night the ball was dropped on that and I do apologize to all that came out for eats but I'm sure they weren't going to be free anyway.

C. You call Lenny's shitty but you want to play there??? I'm confused.

A. I don't think in this entire thread or on this board I have cast blame on any band for anyone not showing up. Show me one post to that degree and I'll let Death Of Kings play the fest. Oh wait you don't give a fuck.

B. Let's see as for as promotion work I did for the show. Hung flyers, passed out handbills, posted via net at least 4 times a week for 3 weeks, offered free tickets to every 20th person through the door for FTTA. etc etc.

C. Now a show in which part of the criteria by which a band will be judged is promotion who do you think I'm going to let promote more than I normally dare allow. Why the bands. Again sorry you didn't get the memo but that seems to be again a communication issue within your band. I'm not slagging, whining or whatever just stating what you have already said.

Totally false. I blame no one if no one comes to a show I promote. First I tend to promote very well so if I promote well and nobody shows well that just the way it is. If I don't promote well at all I usually ask myself how I could have done better. Occasionally there are valid reason why no one came to a well promoted show. For the most part 70% of the shows I have booked do well. I can live with that.

So is at least 1/3 of Doomed Youth so what are you saying. They play Lenny's all the time and are slowly building their fan base to more of an over 21 crowd. I have never heard Living Decay play live until Friday except for one show where the sound was really really shitty. So they were on the bill because I wanted them on the bill I didn't expect them to have a crowd come out. Therefore again you didn't get the memo we allowed for fan voting because of bands with an underage fan base. Today four of my friends bought a ticket in the name of Living Decay. Because I me talking them up.

So again though you're obviously very angry and confused which has little to do with me I don't see why you are slagging a fest without any real just that your friends in Living Decay and other bands obviously want to play. I just don't get it.

I'm sorry Matt, you weren't slagging just giving negative feedback of a fest though admittedly unaware at the time your band would be playing a show a few days later to via for a spot on Forward To The Apocalypse Fest and that you were being judged on 4 criteria one of which was congeniality.
I was not bitching just merely again stating facts. I realize now I don't have to bitch, whine, moan or complain. Because I'm doing.

I agree with that to an extent. But I don't think this is a case where there were any enforced structures of real accountability or responsibility for the event being planned. Everyone was left to make decisions as to what part they played was adequate to the outcome each party wanted. At best it was laissez-faire authority.
