Nope. sorry. I should have snapped her pic though. Whats bad is that (judging by her greeting) I'm sure I know her. I just couldn't tell who it was because of the helmet. hahaV03GTLIN wrote:Umm. Any pix of the latex speed racer, plz...?

We stay at the Hilton, mostly because it books early. Some of the other hotels don't let you book before October or later. A few of our friends go ahead and book the Hilton and then rebook later with the Marriott and cancel the Hilton. That's pretty hard-core because the deposit is non-refundable.SlashAndThrash wrote:where do you guys book and how much is it typically? I really want to book a room and buy a pass next yearDiana wrote:Oh! And when I left for work today, Chris was booking the room for next year. Holla.
As for the price:
We get two beds in the room and this year it cost us $184 a night. Chris booked next year's room and accidentally told her we'd have four people in it. She said "ORLY" and charged us $220 for the same fucking amount of space. SO LIE YOUR ASS OFF. DO NOT TELL THEM YOU WILL HAVE MORE THAN TWO PEOPLE IN THE ROOM. LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKE. Then pack that shit with as many people as it will hold.
Also FYI the Marriott is pretty much off the hook all weekend. It's like Mardi Gras in that bitch. We like that the Hilton is quieter because if you want sleep you can actually get it. But that's up to you.
Seriously, the whole time you were there I was either standing in line, finding a line, or in a panel. I owe you some backpack beers.ratanda wrote:I think I should go at night instead of the afternoon next time because my experience paled greatly compared to everyone else's. After 2 hours of walking around and looking at cool costumes you get bored, especially when you can't find anyone you know!
PS -- Get there before Sunday when the backpack beers become Miller Lite because it's all the liquor store has left. I couldn't give that shit away. Everyone was all "YEAH, FREE BE--- oh, no thanks."

Checking out the uber shitty drum circle .
Wish I'd seen this thread earlier, but Dragon*Con is a large part of the reason why I wasn't on this Forum for a few months, since I'm a director of it.
