Does anyone listen to metal podcasts?

I try to, you can find some pretty cool streams out there if you do enough searching. My friend from Columbia SC used to do a podcast trying to showcase new metal from all around, the show was called "Metalcock radio"
(the studio provider for the show was University of South Carolina hints the name) it was pretty bad ass, if you get your own going, post a link, ill check it out for sure, I used to want to do something like that myself.

There are some good internet radio stations out there: death.fm and blackmetalradio.com for example. But I haven't found a good metal podcast yet. Is Metalcock still available to download?

I have an online metal radio show. Its not a podcast but I if you're online it should do the job. Go to radio on itunes and choose college then WGHR fridays 10 - 11 or go to wghr.spsu.edu and listen in. First show this friday.

Well, here we are, five years after starting AGNS it has finally run its course. I'm not going to lie and say that I'm not a bit sick of the weekly grind to put these shows together, but I will miss it in many ways. I can only hope that a few of you out there will miss it too. I want to sincerely thank all of you who listened to an episode or two or twenty; however many. I made these shows for you all. I can only hope that in some small way this show contributed to spreading the word about the multitude of great punk and hardcore bands out there, not only in the past but flourishing now. The last few years have been an exciting time for DIY punk and hardcore and I hope to see it continue. I'd like to specifically thank listeners who have contacted me over the years and sent in requests or otherwise supported me. Much love and respect to Will from To Live A Lie Records and Brian from Save The Circle Pit blog for their encouragement and contributions. I must also give a hearty "thanks" to John K. Paul from Atlanta, GA - he has in the past, and continues to supply me with tons of great music and steered me in many directions. I'd also like to raise a glass to all the bands who I've played on the show and who inspired me to keep producing these shows - they are the reason for all of this - buy their records, go to their shows and support them! I used to listen to them a lot when I was new to metal and trying to find new bands.

4QRadio.com (I think it merged with Metal Injection because they seemed to have the same stuff as them)
Talking Metal (it sucks now but it used to be decent)

The best one was The Bloody Shore (Deadtide.com) podcast but he hasn't done a new episode in years. I'm pretty sure it's dead.

Doing a podcast is easy. You just have to have a decent mic, a good music collection and be able to speak coherently. But, getting people to find out about it and listen is another. Like everything you have to promote. If you're really wanting to get listeners the best thing to do is have your podcast played on an established station.

I host Worst Case Scenario, which airs live but is available as a podcast and it was a podcast while I was between stations. It airs Mondays, 3-5pm on BrutalExistenceRadio.com. Which is the best metal station I've found so far. It's a real community where they support metal and the community.

Steve, it's Jake. Good to see you on here. So basiclly a podcast is like a radio show except you record it, then it can either play like yours on WCS or people can download it and listen at their leisure. Am I getting it?

I used to do a strange music podcast called The Rubberroom with Rubberhead. I think it's still available online. I'll be sure to check out your show. Promotion is indeed hard. It took a long time before I got a following worth talking about. Glad to see there are some good podcasts out there.
