You have the general idea correct.badcarburetor wrote:It's not just semantics. It has to do with the percentage of income that comes from admission for entertainment versus alcohol sales. Food sales can also be a factor in ages allowed and in whether an establishment is allowed to be open on Sunday. I can't break down the specifics, but I think that's the general idea behind the laws.SadisticRitual wrote:

or "a bar with a venue"
pretty sad word order makes such a big legal difference then
yep. 529 operates as a bar regardless of whether there is a show there or not. masquerade operates as a bar only for concerts. theres the difference.Knucklehead wrote:You have the general idea correct.badcarburetor wrote:It's not just semantics. sooooo apparently this got double booked or something and i'm just finding out about it so i gotta find somewhere to move it to. wonderroot and eyedrum both already have shit going on and i don't want to book it at lenny's (i'm sure theres already something that night there anyway)... was thinking 585 but i'm wary that they may not have a new spot by then...aaaaaaaarrrrrrgh! any ideas? a house show would be fun but i don't really know of anywhere that does em anymore.

DK set would be sick!
The show was just confirmed for Thursday October 28th @ The Clermont Lounge!
The unfortunate side effect of this is that we had to drop DY cuz clermont will only let 3 bands play.
Spewtilator (Slayer/Zeke)
Primate (Black Flag)
Bukkake Boys (Agnostic Front/Shitlickers/Discharge)
Gonna be a ripper.
