yeah same here. If it cools down more slowly, then I don't get sick. I'm from up north but I've been here for 15 years so I'm used to the heat now but I do like the cold when there's snow...that's the only way! If there's no snow, I'll take the heat any day.xforeverxmetalx wrote:Wish it could have cooled down a bit more slowly. Cold mornings are my enemy.
I like cold when there's snow though.

Yeah that was awesome. I was walking around soaking up all of the sights and I didn't recognize you at all. Like ten seconds later I thought, "did that chick with the chainsaw just say my name?" I was pretty impressed that you were in two places practically at once. I haven't been in like 6 years. It's gotten better since then. Keep up the ghoul'd work.Metalfreak wrote:@Nyarlathotep - it was cool seeing you at Netherworld tonight! But I'm thinking it works better as a negative comparison. Such as "That Alyssa Milano soft-core bullshit "Embrace of the Vampire" was not the moisterpiece that was promised."
Side note: The husband wrote "BLUE BALLS" on a post-it and stuck it in the Netflix envelope with the DVD. 'Twas no moisterpiece.

So is anyone else pumped for the new Electric Wizard album Nov 1st?
I can't wait.

I have seen/heard the lamest song/video ever.
Not terrible like Dragonforce, just lame like a filler track off the second Dokken album. It was Sacred Oath's Counting Zeros. How does junk like this get played on Headbanger's Ball? It looked like the budget was about $1100, not at all like the slick bullshit they usually play. That made me want to like it, but that was just impossible. It really wanted to be deep and there was even a scene of the lead singer/guitar player ripping a solo in a duster on top of a mountain ridge ala Slash in that terriblely goofy November Rain video minus the expensive helicopter shots, but it just came off sad. Oh and the drummer was wearing his own band as the back patch on his kutte. How gay is that? Very much so is the answer.
Related topic, is there a decent metal video show that doesn't play bullshit metalcore or other mainstream "metal?"

VH1 Classic's Metal Mania will occasionally show a badass block of some older tunes...Armored Saint, Overkill, Annihilator, Testament, etc. Usually book-ended with the likes of Nelson, Black 'N Blue, and Enuff Z'nuff though.badcarburetor wrote:Related topic, is there a decent metal video show that doesn't play bullshit metalcore or other mainstream "metal?"

Yeah, I dig Metal Mania. Even a lot of the hair rock they play is, in my book, good shit. (Black N' Blue = good, the other two = bad)
I'd just like to find a show that plays current cool shit. I guess it's just too small of a nitch. Need some public broadcasting, I guess.
