Reaffirming my belief that keyboards have no place in metal. What's annoying is that underneath the keyboard and goofy folk shit is a solid black metal band. Leave that shit at the renaissance fair.
Bummer! A fine example of a band who transcends the no keyboard policy in my opinion.

Yeah but with keyboard. *shudder* And a different lead singer for the first one, The Last Supper. I think his name is Max or something. But he's gone by the second album, and the keyboard gradually lessens as you climb up the discography. It eventually disappears somewhere around Goatreich, which is my favorite one. So if you're looking to expand, I would start there.

ALSO WHEN ARE YOU COMING BACK UP HERE? Geez, I haven't seen you in like a year.

So, I'm not only a dumbass, but also an idiot.

This morning, after I dropped the kids off, I played Demonoir by 1349, because I've had it awhile and only listened to it once before. I quickly got distracted, thinking about other things, but noticed that the music was a lot more straightfoward than Hellfire, with none of the quirky phrasing or time signatures.

Then this black and roll song started, which seemed really familiar. And I thougth to myself, "that sounds kind of like "Possessed (By Satan)." And then it became clear that it was that song and I thought, "I didn't know that 1349 covered this!"

And then I hit the text button on the CD player to discover that I was five tracks into Antichrist. You know, by Gorgoroth. And not 1349.

I once listened to a Pig Destroyer album for at least ten minutes before I realized I'd hit the "repeat track" button and had been hearing the same song five or six times. I remember thinking to myself, each time I heard a certain riff, "this must be a concept album."
