Hell yeah! Coincidentally, I'm wearing a Melvins' Army t-shirt now. Of course, I haven't heard anything by them after Prick.

That's a pretty killer soundtrack.

That has to be what I did to my Horna CD last week. I was going "I know I'm not crazy. I know that track just started over again." So I skipped to the next track and as soon as it was done it started over again. I just figured the demons had finally overtaken over my stereo.

I figure that about 40-60% of what I listen to would sound not unlike a leaf blower to the untrained ear.

Das Allerbeste David Hasselhoff

The BFF sent this for my birthday. After that I'm going to watch Anaconda 3, also sent over by the BFF. What a magical birthday.

Spoonful of Vicodin - Bursts of Rage at the Speed of Hate
Abrasive grind with heavy first wave powerviolence/hc influence. Alternating high/low vocals. Funny sound clips and funny song titles my favorites being "My Idea of Anarchy is Taking a Dump on Company Time" and "The 60's Changed the World, I'm Sure You Will Too"

Rotten Sound / Nunslaughter Split
Why the fuck haven't I bothered to check out Rotten Sound until now?! Who knows, but they rip. Any suggestions for crucial albums?

Christian Mistress - Agony and Opium
I have to say in all honesty that the vocals kind of ruin it for me. At some points her voice sounds great over the music but a lot of it just kinda rubs me the wrong way. It's more her delivery/vocal patterns than her actual voice though which isn't bad. The music is pretty fucking stellar though. Also just realized that Rueben Story of Funerot is in this band so that's cool.

Oiltanker - Crusades

Ripping crusty d-beat with a smidgen of metal influence. Good shit.
SPEWTILATOR - Badass motherfuckin' street cops with nothing to lose who don't play by the rules and are out for blood.

I have Cycles and Exit by Rotten Sound, as well as their Napalm EP. Both albums are great and the ep is fairly good.

What's funny about the delivery is that I just commented to my husband last night that her vocal pattern are so odd that it makes me wonder if it's her first band and she's just making it up as she goes. I've noticed that in a lot of "first" bands some oddball things that are done because the folks making the music don't know any better. It's kinda cool that way, to me. Think of the MisFits, if you've ever figured out a few of their songs, the structures are really odd.

Each to their own, but I like the vocals and I'm pretty picky about female vox in metal. I do wish that they were mixed just a tad lower, though, because I don't like any vocals that high in the mix.

Haha yea if they were lower in the mix they probably wouldn't bother me so much. I've still been listening to it quite a bit as the music is great, I just wish she didn't try to do so much with her voice. Female vocals are fine and her voice isn't bad but she needs to cut out the singy vibrato shit. Less is more.

They sound fucking GREAT at 2:15 on the first track though... like give you goosebumps good.
