I'm pretty sure it's totally free regardless of whether you have a ticket or not. Or that's what I've been told by Rafay (who works there) and was why Withered was gonna do it in the first place since none of us really get to do free shows anymore.

Regardless, we've still got tickets and will be at Jack's from 7pm onward so just show up. If it possibly being $7 is too much then stay home and cry about it.

Sorry just moved here and not too familiar with either band other than Withered which to be honest I've only heard in passing. I'm just saying for the venue it's in that's a little pricey. And thank you for your concern about our finances but Teddy and I both have really good day jobs as well as hobbies that give us a little extra income. But we've also just relocated to Atlanta in the last month and will have to move again by the first of November so things are a little tight. So yeah we might just catch the parade and rent a movie and finish packing.

Most small clubs charge $5-10 for a show, and most if not all people are getting in for free. Sounds like a good deal to me regardless of who is playing, and Withered is awesome.

Bring $7 anyway. That's 1 and 3/4 pitchers of Old Fourth Ward right there. Or better yet a whole bucket o' beer. Plus $2 Jack Daniel's shots tonight. I'd pay to get in even if it wasn't a free show. Where else in the whole city can you make a few bucks go so far? I say beer and metal until we're dead and gone.

Normally I do agree that $7 is steep for an all locals show but I'd trade my first born son for admission to any Spewtilator show.

What a night!! Giant Atlanta Metal Party. Good times. It was great sharing a beer with everyone, hanging out, and meeting some new people. I gotta check that place out on an ordinary Saturday night.

Highlights for me:
  • - Watching people crowd surf at Jack's fucking Pizza.

    - Watching a really pretty girl hurl a shot back up into her cup, right at the bar and then daintily dab the puke off her shirt with cocktail napkins. Jake -- you were right about who she was.

    - Seeing Spewtilator play. I had never heard those guys before and was thoroughly entertained.

    - Hearing new Withered tracks.

    - And, of course, talking to a bunch of you.
The downside was getting up at 7:30 with the little boy.

great show, incredible mosh pits for such a small venue and the crowd surfing was at points non-stop. It was cool talking to regulars and meeting some new people.

Also, I'm not sure everyone knew but the store next to Jack's was serving free beer and food. So effectively me and a couple of other people went and crashed the party.

Fun night, should definitely be done again. Oh, the best part of the night was when the security guy saw my id and said "1982 right?", I just said yes and bought beer and shots all nights!

What a fucking night. All of you are insane, fucking huge crowd response. Jack's will never look the same to me, now everytime I go in to drink it'll be visions of a huge crowd with a pit and crowd surfing.

Was this a one-time thing or do you think Jack's will have more shows? Perhaps out on the patio to make room for more people?

I had a great time talking with everyone there. I agree it seemed like the whole forum was there last night (except for no-show Amanda haha!).

acoustic Motley Crue lawlz

Anyway, this show ruled so hard. Easily the most fun I've had in months. Good food, cheap booze, great company. Spewtilator killed. Dives and crowdsurfing. Death of Kings were really good in spite of the unfortunate circumstances. Withered was great as always and those new tunes were good. I really hope Jack's does more shows like this. It should be the new 585.
