I LOVE Dimmu Borgir. Screw all you haters. Well, I will say I don't like the newest stuff...it's gay but there other stuff isn't.
I ran into Strange & Diana and I think that's it (on this forum anyways). I also ran into an exboyfriend from when I was 16. There never was any bad blood there...he was just too old for me at the time so it didn't last long...he was 26. It was cool catching up with him though, not that any of you care lol.
I should have knocked your friend down and taken her camera. That junk was nice.
How did you do on your test?
lol yeah she didn't pay that much for it either...a little over $100 I think.
which test? it seems like I'm taking lots of them lately lol
I passed my PT test on the first attempt though

They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

Just so you guys know, I heard Enslaved's (already short) set got shortened even more so that may be why it wasn't great.

I got there at about 5 minutes to 9 and they were almost done. I think I heard three songs. Why was it shortened?

Not sure but I saw on Metalsetlists that they've been playing Ground but didn't play it in Atlanta that night. So glad I didn't drive 3 hours for this.
GOOD NEWS THOUGH:

It’s probably still early too talk about this, since you’re here doing the support stint and you’re just starting tonight, but do you guys think you’re going to come back and do a
headlining set at some point?
"Yes, definitely. We’re just trying to work it out. I don’t think we can make it before summer, so it’s probably going to be
next fall before we do it  late summer of next year or fall and we’ll come back and do some headlining. Absolutely."

Absolutely awesome news. I was really shocked at how short their setlist was.
I was also kinda surprised more people didn't leave after Enslaved and before Dimmu, since so many people I talked to said they were going to do exactly that.

I know that I only stayed to feel like I kinda got my money's worth. If I had seen a decent length Enslaved set I'm sure that I would have bailed after two Dimmu songs. I usually stay a song or two into bands that I'm not fond of to see if they surprise me and are good. But, in this case, I was having fun hanging out and talking shit and laughing at Dimmu. It was worth the extra time. Still, I had the opposite reaction and was surprised at how much the crowd thinned after Enslaved. I thought that mall kids would be in full effect for Dimmu.

I was going to leave about halfway through Dimmu's set so I could go to my friend Ripper's farewell party over at Jack's, then I decided (along with Kris from Xeroderma) that I would leave AFTER they played "Progenies," and then they played it second-to-last and ended with -- no surprise -- "Mourning Palace," so that was good.
I actually enjoyed their set more than I thought I would, even despite their...odd....choice of stage-costumes.

We're still wondering who was drumming for them, as he was really good.
And besides, it was fun hanging out with Digger in the back. The armor he had there that had been intended for Vortex might actually fit me -- unlike the set he made for Mustis, who would have been the skinniest 'swordsman' around

-- but I just don't need another full breastplate...not to mention the $600 price. Cool pentagram on the front, though; that will never be made again.
