Most of you should recognize the dude on the left!

I'm Martin, and as the handle suggests I'm from the UK.
I'm flying out to Atlanta on 26th Nov. primarily for the Falcons game on the Sunday, but I was hoping to catch a gig or something on the Saturday night, had no luck searching the net and was hoping someone could tell me of any.
Failing that, a bar or club that plays metal would be a decent 2nd best.
Cheers.

cool! There's a Watain show on the 29th you could go to.
Jacks pizza is pretty metal. I think there's always somebody hanging out there. Their food is pretty damn good as well.

They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

Cheers man, unfortunately I go home on the 29th, which sucks as I'd love to have gone to that show.
Will be sure to chack out the pizza place though.

I was there for the first time last week, for Ripper's farewell party, and I was cursing myself for not having that much cash with me (like, $1.00)....'cause that jukebox was fun to play with. There was a distinct lack of Immortal, but some Emperor, some Dimmu and a lot of Opeth.

I have a metalhead buddy that is currently teaching English in Korea and he's having a blast. He's somewhere around 6'3", so he always has a clear view over the crowd at shows.
Welcome!

Ian, long blond hair, looks like a viking. If you guys were going to metal shows together it would be almost impossible to not see him. Also he does a really awesome impression of George Takei.

Hey everybody. I'm Michael. I'm 25, originally from Boston, MA but I have lived in ATL for the last 2 years. I'm currently at law school here. I'm a long time metal fan and I am looking to finally make the effort to meet some metalhead friends / concert buddies in ATL.
Some of my favorite bands are Mastodon, Dark Tranquillity, Finntroll, Amon Amarth, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Agalloch, Enslaved, Opeth, and High on Fire.
Just saw Agalloch last night for my second time (last time was in 2006 in Denmark ... I was studying there my junior year of college). It was an orgasmic experience.
concerts:
5/01 Amon Amarth
5/10 Danzig
5/20 Amon Amarth (in Amsterdam)
6/01 Orange Goblin, The Gates of Slumber
6/13 Nick 13
