Yep, that would drive me away, too. I think I've heard Deftones played maybe once, tops. And that's a good thing.

I do have to say I enjoyed hearing how Jose apparently made an ass of himself on that big Megadeth/Slayer/Anthrax tour.
But you may be right badcarburator...I was in my dad's car the other night and they were playing Cannibal Corpse, Insect Warfare, and Exhumed back to back. They must have gotten complaints.
I've seriously heard some pretty cool stuff on there (the best: XentriX's cover of the Ghostbusters theme, thank YOU Ian Christie)...but then I've noticed that they seem to play a few songs VERY often.
I'll see for myself since even though I canceled, I still have it installed in my car and there's a free trial period between November 18th-December 1st.
I expect a full report on my desk by December 5th, mister.

Seriously, I'm very curious about these changes I've heard about.

Haha alright I don't drive much since I live in a dorm now and can walk places but I'll try to remember to listen during the trial.

Does anyone have HD radio? Not that there are any metal stations on HD. Just wondering about better quality, etc.

I've heard so much badass death, black and thrash in the last month that it's stunning. Sure, there are still runs of In This Moment As I Lay Dying All That Remains Is August Burn Red and it's This or the Apocalyps, blah, blah, sentence fragment, sentence fragment, metalcore bullshit, but turning it on this morning and hearing Immortal into Death into a bunch of other cool shit that it took me 25 minutes to have to hit the iPod is truly rad. I love my iPod, but I'm a lifelong fan of radio, so I'm digging all the options that are offered by Sirius.

True...that's another reason why I canceled. I mainly kept it to find new bands, interviews with bands (I got to talk to Disfear on the phone), and segments, concert info and stuff like that...plus I listened to a morning show on another channel.

But I can listen to that morning show on a podcast for free and the main #1 reason I actually canceled is because my parents stopped paying for it.

I'll have to make that decision, to cancel or not to cancel, in about 4 months. Apparently they've reduced their pricing, since I could go "a la carte" and get monthly service including any of the channels I care about for about $7/month, which isn't too bad; and a decent all-inclusive package is $9 or $10.
I'd been thinking it was $20 or higher, and THAT would have been, in the words of Monty Python, "Right Out." :)

np: some WREKage broadcasts I burned onto CDs for a friend currently serving in Aghanistan. He's gonna LOVE this shit.

Yelawolf - Trunk Music
I'm not a huge hip hop fan, but, man, does that shit sound so much better on the car stereo than metal. Sucks.
