DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm totally going to try the Antonio date. It isn't that far after my 21st birthday. Seeing Immortal for a first time with a beer sounds so sweet. Especially with Absu opening!

Immortal and Absu? Damn...nothing even remotely close.

They should actually play a fucking real tour. This is getting old.

I'll be up north by then so I'll likely be at the NY show. Will be nice to see them again.

Mmmhmm. Why do a few dates constitute a tour now?

Well, those anal probes at the airport are taking longer and longer. Especially if your luggage is full of broadswords and goat skulls.

If that's the case, Pelican would be on tour until the end of time.

YES! Will be trying to finagle my way to one of these, probably San Antonio. Road trip?

San Antonio seems most do-able. I'd much rather go to NYC than the land of steers and queers, but my Southern blood is thiiiiin.

Which is pretty ironic, considering that you're talking about going to see fucking Immortal, probably *the* band most associated with snowy, frozen wastelands.

Texas would be a helluva lot more fun. Every NYC show I've been to was like a wake. Somber, solemn, introspective music appreciation...

Plus, you can't get great brisket and sausage in NYC, no matter what "foodies" will tell ya.

I will fully admit that the best brisket I ever had - along with the best bloody marys - was at a wedding in a shitkicker "set up" bar in Texas City. But to knock the food in NYC is madness, sheer madness.

I'm graduating in less than a month and start my 'real job' a few weeks after that.

The NYC show seems like a nice graduation present to myself :)
