What is your favorite band?
Oddly enough, I don't remember this topic ever being discussed.

I wouldn't say now that i have a favorite band. It was certainly Maiden for awhile and then Metallica. Melvins were in there, as were the Pumpkins (in the Gish and Siamese Dream era). Shellac, based on the strength of At Action Park alone.
I can't say that I have a favorite band, now. Although I do love me some Celtic Frost and early Darkthrone.

Youch. Tough question.
When I was a kid - and for many years after - I could have answered easily with the holy trinity of the AC/DC, The Who and the Runaways.
Now it's much tougher. X (LA) is way, way up on the list, but I rarely actually spin them because it's like that music is imprinted on my DNA at this point.
The Paybacks are without a doubt the baddest rock n' roll band of the last ten years.
The (International) Noise Conspiracy are insanely unique, politically rad and never fail to fix my mood.
Nothing has the style, class and impact of George Michael. Not joking.
The Clash weren't called The Only Band That Matters for nothing.
On any given day it could be Rose Fucking Tattoo, The Humpers, Hanoi Rocks, Girlschool,Venom, The Stones, Motorhead, CockSparrer, Kreator, Cockney Rejects, recent Darkthrone and Toxic Holocaust...

All of their shit is solid, but the last one, Armed Love is unbeatable. Every song is gold.Knucklehead wrote:I think that their second is their best. I saw them (twice?) at the Echo, supporting that album. They defo played the Echo at least twice. I saw them everytime they came through town as they did a couple times a year for a while there. Wish they'd reform and come back again. Dennis new band Lost Patrol is pretty cool, too. Just don't confuse it with his solo acoustic project that's just known as Lost Patrol. That one's a bit dull, IMO.
And then there's SLAYER, Echo and the Bunnymen, Smiths....
