I have yet to listen to Swans, even though I have seen the name mentioned several different times. I'll check them out when I get the chance. Some of the acts are very good. I dig the one with Attila on vocals. Phil Anselmo's vocals are okayyyyyyyyyyyy..ish. Some parts of the song are better than others.

Tsjuder - Desert Northern Hell

Don't drive near me when "Mouth of Madness" comes on because I am air-drumming and not touching the steering wheel. FYI

Anata - The Conductor's Departure
Voivod - Angel Rat
Beethoven - Eroica Sym
Shostakovich - string quartets out the ass

Memories of riding in my friend's two-tone lime green and white '78 Celica with two home stereo speakers crammed into the back seat (between which his younger brother would sit, somewhat uncomfortably), going bump tss bump tss bump tss. Pretty much Wesley Willis with a beat, a sex addiction, and focus.

Primal Scream - Vanishing Point

I love this album. It's a soundtrack for the 1971 film that they wrote a couple or more decades after the film's original release. I love this album. It's got a relaxing psychedelic vibe to it that just works for me. I was so into it on my way to work both yesterday and today that I didn't want to get off the highway. Just wished for a fatty and an unending road. I coulda traded in my white Mustang on a Challenger, though...Even watched the film again last night. Highly recommended if you dig car films, brilliant cinematography, Cleavon Little or classic 70s flicks in general. Just steer clear of the remake with Viggo. As awesome as Viggo is - and he is awesome - this film required no remake and certainly not one that was made-for-tv.
