Epica was good when they weren't being gay. They had glossy photos of themselves (individuals, not band) for sale. Ha! GAY.
They sure can ride an open E. They "covered" the Star Wars Imperial March theme and even that was mostly them just playing power chords or chugging along to the orchestral music. They played tightly though, and Simone's got a great voice.
I'd heard Scar Symmetry before, but don't remember them being so damn gay.

Yeah, that was a bit over the top.ratanda wrote:Epica was good when they weren't being gay. They had glossy photos of themselves (individuals, not band) for sale. Ha! GAY.
Yep. That 'cover' was their "let's let Simone rest her voice" song.....for that purpose, I'd have preferred hearing their cover of "Crystal Mountain" like at PPUSA, but alas, such was not to be.They sure can ride an open E. How so?I'd heard Scar Symmetry before, but don't remember them being so damn gay.
Haha I sure used the word "gay" a lot didn't I?
During the Star Wars song it would have been nice if they actually played some melodies along with the song instead of just providing a metal rhythm to go along with it.
I'm not sure how to describe what I didn't like about Scar Symmetry. It's kind of like they took parts and pieces of styles I like and mixed them in a way that I didn't like personally. Maybe I should have said cheesy instead of gay.
