It's not a REAL Destruction show unless their bus-driver freaks out, runs away and abandons the band (and Kreator, who were sharing the bus) in the parking lot at the Masquerade.

THAT was a weird night.

how many is plenty if the first was just a few years ago............ yea i saw skinless play in heaven with 25 people there, and six feet under was headlining. 70-90 isnt bad for an average show, when they charge like 20 bucks a ticket, its 2010, not 87.

i actually don't care for that band at all. what was funny to me was the fact that the time destruction came before that there were MAYBE 30 people there tops in heaven and then thrash got cool again and more than 3x as many showed up for the show in april.

Was that the tour that was supposed to have Sadus and Municipal Waste but then some giant clusterfuck made it Destruction and I think Into Eternity? Still have Schmier's pick from that show...the very first pick I ever got haha. I think that was my first thrash show.

ive kinda of grown out of them as well but that's no reason to deny the fact that their live performance was killer

alright i'm not a human calculator here, 70 was my approximate guess from a show that happened two years ago. all i can remember is that it was small.. smaller than almost any other show i've ever been to from a decently large name metal band.

and first what? masq show? destruction show? thrash show? buddy thrash shows have been happening for 30 years now at many different venues. the fact of the masquerade not being too old has nothing to do with this as i'm comparing it to all the shows and venues i've been to. not saying a crowd was nonexistant, but it was extremely dissapointing. maybe it was the fact of the stage being too big... i don't know

Destruction may be one of the Big 3 German Thrash Bands, but they are very second tier when it comes to their draw. Especially in 2010. But slap a good support bill with them and they'll pull some decent numbers. D666 is a good match to diversify the crowd without adding ridiculous metalcore bullshit that will alienate any Destruction fans that are on the fence about going.

haha yep sure was, me n bigmatt partook in what was dubbed the "doob of the century" before hand and drank a bunch of whiskey (i'm noticing a theme here haha) and by the time destruction came on he was falling down drunk. when we left i had to drive his car which had no interior lights so i couldn't find the switch to turn on the headlights and when i asked him where it was he just leaned on top of me and started slapping me and yelling "LOOK AT ME AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" over and over again for probably ten minutes. during this debacle a bum walked up to the window to ask for money and as soon as he realized what was happening inside the car just slowly backed away.

my co-workers now think i'm nuts because i'm sitting here laughing at my desk by myself while i type this.
