I get that catalog. The quality is top notch and the prices are great. There's no other place you can get a well-made Bowie knife for under $100.

I get all my throwers from BUDK, but they're not listed in the hilarious emasculating catalog. I agree with your assessment, though you would never guess they have quality with such products as "DON'T BE A PUSSY -- GET THIS REAL NINJA SWORD - $9.99!!!"

And all of their employees are obviously well anticipating END OF DAYS with every eastern euro country's gasmask ON SALE ALL THE TIME.

My buddy sent them a time lapse vid of me dressing a deer w/ one of their fake K-BARS and got a bunch of throwing stars out of it.

Edit: And Lewis' THE MONK is rule. Better than Huysmans...

Blood, Sweat and Beers: Oz Rock from the Aztecs to Rose Tattoo (or a very similar title). It's a history of Aussie rock n' roll from the late 60s on up with a focus on the Sharpie movement and the harder edged stuff like Lobby Lloyd, Buffalo, Angels, Buster Brown, etc...My buddy picked it up Down Under (mate!). I'm so stoked.

The first three books in the Saxon Tales by Bernard Cornwell. I don't normally go for historical fiction, but this has Norseman. How can you not read about Vikings?

They're good for knives and anything with a blade-length of, say, 14" of less. Above that, and you're looking at a wall-hangar. (Granted, a reasonably cheap one, though.

)

I still recommend Starfire Swords even though they pulled out of the Georgia RenFaire, and with them went my longtime fun job there. Pricey, but incredibly sturdy blades that eat wall-hangers for breakfast.

Just started up Neuromancer. Was supposed to read this for my freshman English class years ago, but I was a big fan of Spark Notes back then. Enjoying it so far.
